I’ve been at this SIMGE game for over five years now, and I’ve been fortunate enough to explore new opportunities that have led to some of the most significant advancements in my adult life. I owe this blog and the social aspect that goes with it my current career, my two most significant relationships and some of my best friendships. So when I say that I am rooting for you all with my full heart, I really mean it and when one of us wins we all win.

On Monday night, I had the privilege of seeing Lowlight take a leap forward in opening for the legendary Pretenders at Terminal 5. I was, admittedly, a little nervous for them as the cavernous is known for mixed results for rock shows, especially when it comes to the openers. Those fears were immediately put to rest as the band immediately captured the crowd’s attention and never let it go over the course of a tight 25-minute set. If you were there and were wondering who yelled “Lowlight” right before they started, me.

It was a family affair of sorts as I got to take in Lowlight’s triumph with dear friends and associates Jim Appio, Brent Bergholm, Shawn Butler and Mike Petzinger who shares his photos from the evening below. Congrats to Lowlight!
