The 10-track debut collection punches and pulsates like so much of the music this collective draws from including, but not limited too, such diverse influences as Turbonegro, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, and MC5…and The Battery Electric’s latest single, “Dead Man’s Trunk” flows from the same vein.

“Dead Man’s Trunk”, which will act as the A-Side to a forthcoming single on LDR that’s scheduled to drop on October 21st, is a churning pile driver of power chords and sinister tidings that deserves to serve as the soundtrack to a post-apocalyptic car chase (think Mad Max or the original Death Race from 1975, not 2008) rather than simply grace a piece of vinyl.

SIMGE is excited to host the exclusive premiere of The Battery Electric’s new single “Dead Man’s Trunk”.  Stream it below, stay tuned for the unveiling of this single’s B-Side on Wednesday, and be sure to see the band on Halloween at The Stone Pony with Hot Blood, Corrina, Corrina and more.
