Peckham is a Southeastern section of London and houses what’s being billed as an Alternative-Pop collective by the name of Beaty Heart, who’s prowess for percussion driven ear worm compositions will be exhibited in full when the outfit’s debut release, Mixed Blessings, drops in March of 2014 via Nusic Sounds (not Music…but Nusic).
For now, we’ve been left with a lead single titled “Lekka Freakout” that’s driven into the deepest wax-coated crevices of the aural cavity by tropical percussive rhythms and melodious lyrical passages that surf toward the listener in waves and recall the most accessible works of Animal Collective, if Avey Tare and Panda Bear were bogged down by a foggy London malaise.
Stream the single belowand stay tune for more on Beaty Heart as we await the band’s anticipated debut.
