SIMGE Stream: Fence – Alien

Hello, and welcome to yet another installment of “Mike finally gets to the bottom of the inbox and promises he really does listen to everything, for real.” Last year, I was introduced to the NJ-based garage-rock band Fence via their submission to the 3rd Annual 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge, “Quidditch.”

So it’s only appropriate that on the eve of the 4th challenge, we check in on the group who released a very promising EP earlier this year, Alien, featuring cuts “I’ve Always Wanted To Be A Wizard / “Go†h Laundry”. The former recalls the failure of a relationship built on empty promises with dark alt-rock/post-hardcore hues while the latter is a straight punk burner that whirrs from the get-go and never lets up.

It looks like Fence has re-treated into the lab for at least the rest of the year, so here’s looking out at some new stuff soon. Stream Alien below and keep up with Fence here.
