SIMGE Stream: Sink Tapes Drops Window Unit Blues…Playing New Brunswick w/ Worriers

Sink TapesThe Garden State shoegazers in Sink Tapes have released music at a prolific rate over the past five years and recently resurfaced with its seventh full length collection in that span, dropping Window Unit Blues via Sniffling Indie Kids (CD) and Mint 400 Records (Digital).

This 12-track release is the sort of jangling, fuzz-smothered offering we’re used to receiving Sink Tapes, but with a bit more mind paid to the group’s pop capabilities, a notion showcased on the band’s ode to day drinking and betting on the ponies at Monmouth Park titled “Haskell Heavy Hitters”.

Stream Window Unit Blues in full below and be sure to catch Sink Tapes at a pair of upcoming live dates at the Glitterbox in New Brunswick, first on Oct. 4th with Don Giovanni Records outfit Worriers and on Oct. 12th with a lineup that is being kept hush hush.

NOTE: Sink Tapes is currently in talks with Weiner Records to have a limited run of cassette tapes released later this year for Window Unity Blues. Look for it.
