Down in the hard rock trenches in Jacksonville, FL, Fit For Rivals have been ripping up venues on their home turf and abroad for years now. The band came together in 2008 when Renee Phoenix met Thomas Amason while looking for a new guitarist for her band The Explicits.

From there, Fit For Rivals released their debut Steady Damage which produced breakthrough singles in “Crash” and “Damage”. After a dormant period on the recorded end of things, the sophomore slump busting Freak Machine LP is on its way TBA with hard charging, white knuckle single “Hit Me” offering a tease as to what to expect.

Recently, we had the incendiary front woman of the group take the SIMGE Survey to get a better idea of her inspirations and sensibilities. Stream Fit For Rivals’ “Hit Me” while reading Phoenix’s responses below.
