This past Friday evening Outside The Box packed The Saint for what was billed as the lauded Jersey Shore outfit’s final performance. What ensued was the group’s “final” performance, as the former Stone Pony house band unveiled its new identity as Pretty War, a powerful new Pop-Rock undertaking with a sound more mammoth than anything OTB ever produced. The band is entering the studio this week to lay down the four tracks they’ve already peened with more cuts to come before the band’s forthcoming LOCAL performance of epic, and enigmatic, proportions slated for May 25th…a little investigation will reveal that high powered bill.
SIMGE caught up with the band on a wet and wind burned street corner this past weekend in which we discussed the recent rebranding, a need to write the best music the band has ever heard, the art of playing less, and what lis ahead for Pretty War. Stream the conversation and check out photos from the evening below.
