St. Vincent

If you watch “Bob’s Burgers” on a semi-regular basis, then you know the show features a lot of original music stemming from off-hand sayings that end up in the closing credits. So it comes as a pleasant surprise that the people behind the brilliant animated series have extended their reach and aesthetic to actual original songs working with contemporary music artists they admire.

Guitar-shredder and David Byrne collaborator St. Vincent is first up in the series as she is drawn into the world of the show and espouses the teenage angst ridden, butt obsessed character Tina’s inner most punk rocker. The song, which originally appeared in an earlier episode, is covered by St. Vincent as part of the “Bob’s Buskers” series which will also include The Magnetic Fields’ Steve Merritt.
