After unveiling shows in bits and pieces the past few weeks, the restored and revamped Starland Ballroom is gearing up for its grand reopening with a slice of unique intrigue. As the fallout from troubled singer Scott Weiland’s legal battle with his former band continues to rage, the instrumental members of Stone Temple Pilots will headline a gala evening celebrating the comeback of the beloved New Jersey venue. New singer and Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington will handle lead vocal duties as STP plays a hometown show of sorts on September 6th with Filter set to open. STP will release an EP with Bennington later this fall.

Starland also announced shows from Chris Young, Finch, and Bullet For My Valentine w/ Black Veil Brides. Tickets for all shows, including Stone Temple Pilots, go on sale Friday.

To gain a sense of how well Bennington fits within the STP mold, and naturally fit he does, listen to new track “Out Of Time” below.
