Holy Tunics

Since late 2014, Brooklyn-based band Holy Tunics has been a steady fixture gigging out in the local scenes. It wasn’t until just a few weeks ago, however, that the band released their proper debut, the Hot to Trot EP, with that lead time paying off with an artfully crafted set of diverse tracks.

Featuring the talents of Nick Rogers (Vocals, Guitar), Matt Billington (Bass), Davey Jones (Guitar, Vocals, Tamborine), Jeremy Sampson (Drums) and Ana Becker (Vocals), Hot to Trot largely tackles different manifestations of passion or love while looking out from different dead ends. Whether it be working a shit job to keep your dreams alive or longing for a lost partner, Holy Tunics soundtrack these explorations with bright, shimmering jangle-pop tunes and driving indie-rockers all set up by an impeccable rhythm section.

Hot to Trot is today’s SIMGE Stream and I encourage you to buy a digital copy here with a physical release slated for later this year via GP Stripes. Get yer stream on and catch Holy Tunics live @ Shea Stadium on January 14th w/ Shark?, Haybaby, & Bueno.
