Green Leaf

Originally formed as a side project, the Scandinavian born stoner-alt rock Greenleaf has kept its musical vision alive by embracing change. To date, the band first got together with Lowrider vocalist Peter Bergstrand for their eponymous 2000 debut EP, welcomed Dozer frontman Fredrik Nordin for is 2001 follow-up, Revolution Rock, added Demon Cleaner guitarist Daniel Jansson for 2003’s Secret Alphabets, integrated Truckfighters vocalist Oskar Cedermalm in time for 2007’s Agents Of Ahriman, and powered ahead behind reliable mainstay, guitarist Tommi Holappa for 2012’s Nest Of Vipers. Sometimes fluidity is the key to existence.

Now comes the thundering storm that is Trails And Passes recorded by Karl Daniel Lidén at Studio Gröndahl with vocals recorded by Arvid Jonsson at Hälla Libraries, and mixed and mastered by Lidén at Tri-Lamb Studios. Lead single “Our Mother Ash” is defies easy categorization other than it is straight a balls to the wall burner with the individual talents of each virtuoso given moments to shine as the track rollicks and rages.

Stream “Our Mother Ash” by Greenleaf below and look for Trails And Passes due May 13th via Small Stone Records.
