If The Rareflowers’ knack for crafting infectious hooks doesn’t get your toe tapping then you need to check your pulse. Comprised of brothers Jimmy (guitar, lead vox) and Kane Maraday (bass, vox) and joined by Aaron Gollubier (drums), the band blends elements of jangle and power-pop reminiscent of masters like The Cars and The Replacements.
Last Thursday, The Rareflowers shared single “Shake” and announced their self-titled, debut EP and their signing to Good Eye Records. I’ve been jamming on these four songs since the dead of winter, and I’m thrilled for them all to arrive just in time for prime summer BBQ’ing, hiking, beaching and all manner of good weather activity.
On “Shake,” the band shares:
“You’ll give your best self at the beginning of a relationship. In time, things will change, but never enough to make you forget why you loved that person in the first place.”
Stream The Rareflowers’ “Shake” below and look for the EP out June 29th via Good Eye Records here.
