Last Month SIMGE’s own Jim “Cool Dad Music” Appio caught The  So So Glos at Maxwell’s.  In January our own Senior Editor Mike Mehalick witnessed Titus Andronicus crush the Brooklyn Bowl…who would’ve thought only a few weeks later we could have road tripped to Connecticut, Boston, or DC to see them both under one roof on their Bring Back The Dudes Tour?

On Friday afternoon, Titus Andronicus announced the reincarnation of a tour theme concocted back in 2009 when the Glen Rock, NJ natives of The Monitor and Local Business fame and their fellow Punk conspirators from Brooklyn first took this road-ready showcase on a jaunt about the states.

2013 has brought on another 20-dates that will kick off at The Space in Hamden, Connecticut on April 28th, before heading to Middle East in Boston the following evening, and concluding with a performance at The Black Cat in Washington DC on May 19th.

…You read that correctly, these Garden State denizens and their brethren from that hip music haven to the north have not scheduled a show in either of their hometown markets.

You have my word that SIMGE will do everything in our power to change The Dudes’ minds on this.

Anyway, check out the dates in full and stream Titus Andronicus and The So So Glos’ live rendition of Billy Bragg’s “To Have & To Have Not” below.

NOTE: In the truest form of DIY Punkdom Titus Andronicus is reaching out to fans on this tour in search of floors, couches, basements, porches, or wherever their may be some extra space for this five-piece and their four-piece counterpart to crash while on the road.  In exchange to those who offer, free tickets and memories that’ll last for weeks will be provided.  If interested in playing host to Titus Andronicus and The So So Glos at your humble abode, please e-mail TitusAndronicusTheBand@gmail.com, with your name, phone number, and whatever information you can provide about the accommodations (couch stats, etc).
