Late last year, songwriter Joe Michelini laid River City Extension to rest with one last gig at The Stone Pony. Wasting little time, Michelini then went on to announce his next endeavor/moniker, American Trappist, which is being unveiled with three EP releases that will combine to form a debut full length.

The second EP, On The River Toms, was recently released via Death Salon Records with cut “Nothing Short of Faithful” getting the music video treatment. In the visual companion, Michelini rides a bike and sings about moving away from “ghosts” and other things that may have kept him down while, literally, riding forward. The breezy indie-folk jam finds Michelini already past the pivot point and onto a lane that feels like his most natural at this point.
