Summer may be long over here in NYC, but that doesn’t mean you have to ignore spritely jams and hole up in a cave somewhere. Winnipeg singer-songwriter Elessar Thiessen crafts exactly those sorts of thawing, rattling jams that will have you visualizing warmer climates not unlike that snowman in Frozen.
Thiessen recently dropped A Rainy Week in Paradise, which he wrote and produced himself. A bit of a studio rat by nature, with a full time gig in producing, Thiessen’s natural talents and charm come across unforced unlike the pre-packaged, North-Eastern swarm of bros like John Mayer.
Also, Thiessen can rip a mighty fine solo as evidenced on single “When The World Ends.” You should definitely give that track a stream below and head over to Elessar Thiessen’s official site for more.
