Before moving on to their next release, Modern Crowds is now sharing a video for EP closer “Green Light” which Speak Into My Good Eye is happy to be premiering today. In the clip, shot at Little Eden where the band recorded Go with Pete Steinkompf, Modern Crowds showcase their powerful dynamic and knack for building layered rock atmospheres and harmonies.
“The beginning the song is about driving and that acts as a kind of metaphor for life,” shares Pellegrinelli.” But I think the takeaway from the lyrics is more about coming to accept who you are, what you’ve done, and certain events that have shaped you in one way or another-whether they may be good or bad. I think the most potent and important lyric is the last line “come on let it out” because it conveys a sense of emotional significance and provides this wave of relief which is often the first step to accepting something… in my experience anyway.”
Watch Modern Crowds in “Green Light” below and catch them live on May 4th at Crossroads and May 17th at The Asbury Hotel.
