We’ve written about the multi-talented artist Oliver Ignatius and Mama Coco’s Funky Kitchen many times over the years, but never anything relating directly to his solo works.

Recently, Ignatius unveiled a true debut single of sorts, “Light & Dark,” which has a distinct British feel to it as his vocals float above an ethereal sound with orchestral swells reminiscent of Blur’s “The Universal.” The single now comes paired with a video that was shot at the beloved and since shuttered Aviv during Mama Coco’s unique The Harmonies performance.

On the new video, Ignatius shares, “The video was directed by Eamon O’Rourke and Rafe Scobey-Thal, and was shot at the Harmonies which was a multimedia multisensory event Mama Coco’s put on which presented a flickering radio broadcast in the waning days of a failed military action carried out by bloodthirsty neo-liberalists in order to restore the harmonic equilibrium of the universe. The air was thick with more than just the clouds of our bodily aromas!”
