The Nashville trash-pop purveyors in PUJOL are responsible for one of SIMGE’s favorite albums of 2014 in KLUDGE and apparently the follow ups are on the way.
According to an interview frontman Daniel Pujol gave to Paper Magazine last week, PUJOL will release a new EP named KISSES on Nov. 27th with a full length collection in the works.
“This is a warm-up for a new record,” Pujol said. “I will demo the next LP this winter. I have a few songs finished for it.”
“I would like to record the next LP in a way similar to this EP,” Pujol added. “Live tracking as much as possible helps things move along, and frankly, it is fun. It is important for this to be fun. People can feel things. People can hear things. Everyone sounds like they want to be there. I’ll be able to remember it that way.”
Coinciding with this announcement was the unveiling of new single and nightmarish video for “Sleepy Doni”, a grimy piece of pop-rock with more depth in meaning and social commentary than its accessibility conveys, a pillar of PUJOL songwriting.
