Sterling Fox

Alternative psych-pop artist Sterling Fox is stepping out into his own spotlight in 2015 with a series of standalone singles. Fox began writing songs for himself as a side project a few years back, after successfully writing and producing for mainstream artists like Madonna, Lana Del Rey, Charli XCX and Avicii.

The latest offering from Sterling Fox is the sultry glam-soul single “Freak Caroline” which rides on an underlying acoustic guitar and funk bass up to an ecstatic psych-rock crescendo. The video for the single, appropriately, plays with shadows and layered images as Fox emphatically slashes at his guitar. Somewhere, Wayne Coyne is wondering how he didn’t come up with this visual concept first.

Watch Sterling Fox’s Ziggy Stardust-style turn in “Freak Caroline” and look for more from the artist soon.
