Last week New Brunswick Punk purveyors The Scandals unveiled a new video via Red Bull Sound Select in which frontman Jared Hart ventures to Little Eden Studios, a local recording haunt in Ocean Grove where the band tracked its debut EP Trenchknife with owner and operator Pete Steinkopf (The Bouncing Souls), to discus the record’s standout track “All Nighters” with “The Pete” and Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem, before stripping down the ragetune into a jagged acoustic ballad.

On Sunday, The Scandals returned with yet another Red Bull Sound Select production which saw the band rocking atop the storied Berkeley Hotel (NOTE: The location of SIMGE’s 2nd Annual Holiday Party on Dec. 21st), seemingly shocking the Asbury Park populous awake at sunrise with a performance of “Second Thought”.

Prior to the performance, Hart can be heard discussing our musical hub by the sea, calling it a peaceful “escape” from his Northern New Jersey home.  Coincidentally, The Scandals will provide us a much needed escape from the everyday on December 22nd when they return to Asbury Lanes with Street Dogs.

Prepare for the show by streaming “Second Thought”, as well as a bonus live performance of a new track named “Hungry” at The Court Tavern in New Brunswick, below.
