Titus Andronicus

Last night Titus Andronicus played the last of three sold out shows marking their final performance at the soon to be shuttered New Jersey music institution Maxwell’s. The nostalgic weight of the venue’s closure has prompted stories of formative concert experiences from fans and band members including frontman Patrick Stickles who took time out of Titus’ night three set to detail young love gone awry and to emphatically state, “The next Maxwell’s ain’t gonna build itself.”

The set also featured a raucous, wall shaking rendition of “Glory Days” as Titus Androncius brought openers Heeney on stage for the assist. Watch Stickles reminisce, eulogize, and inspire with his speech and sing a long at home with Titus as they and Heeney celebrate the “Glory Days” below.
