SIMGE and local music fans in general likely know musicians Rudy Meier and Nick Kaelblein from their time spent locking down the rhythm section for Dentist. Now, the Asbury Park-based duo has teamed up to form a new group, Wetbrain.

Their expansive, genre-hopping debut album, A Certain Light, comes paired with an Anthony Yebra-directed video for lead single, “Sewage.” On the track, Wetbrain explores the anxiety that is “why go outside?” ultimately reaching the conclusion of, “fuck it – let’s just get high.” The slack-rock cut sets the atmosphere as guitar strums move at the pace of a ticking tock building towards a waves-crashing crescendo.

Watch Wetbrain in “Sewage” below and look for A Certain Light out May 12th on all digital platforms.
