When Erin Elders isn’t wielding a guitar for his more well-known outfit Maps & Atlases, the Chicago-based artists is touring with his side-project Wedding Dress, which surfaced this morning with a new single titled “Frail Flakes” and U.S. tour dates that includes a November 14th trek through New Brunswick’s underground scene at The Glitter Box (it’s ask a Punk status).

Wedding Dress has grown to include Mike Russell & Matt Lemke (Suns), Bobby Burg (Love of Everything/Joan of Arc), and Christian Dawson (Gypsyblood), and the diverse mix of musicianship reveals itself in the complex structures this collective creates, while still leaving room for Elders pop sensibilities to take hold on pieces like “Frail Flakes”.

Stream “Frail Flakes” below and be sure to catch Wedding Dress at The Glitter Box…if you can find it. But if you can’t locate the show on your own ask the guys and girls from VasudevaDollys, or Pinegrove for an address because they’re on the bill too.

RSVP and find more information on the event here. and stay tuned for more on Wedding Dress as the band preps its debut LP Desperate Glow for a November 18th release via Lovitt Records.
