Year End Lists 2014: Matt Menges (Airacuda) Shares His Top 5 Releases

Lazaretto – Jack White

This would be my soundtrack if I were a Cowboy Outlaw getting into Saloon brawls. Jack White delivers again.

Sonic Highways – Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters stick to their guns on this and I don’t mind. This mostly gets a vote for the HBO series that went along with the album, which I found intriguing.

Heck – Deal Casino

Great local release! Each song is solid.

Kangaroo – El Born

Group from London with a singer who has some incredible pipes. Checkout their song “1982”.

Led Zeppelin Re-Issues

With Led Zeppelin being one of my all-time favorite bands I had to put this on here. The few alternate takes and extras are worth it, plus the remixed and remastered sound allows you to hear it like never before.
