Florida’s finest purveyors of emo rock, You Blew It!, have not in fact blown it, especially if “it” refers to the outfit’s ability to stand on the front lines of a genre revival by dropping one of the year’s best collections in Keep Doing What You Are Doing. Recently, the band joined The Front Bottoms and So So Glos on a Starland Ballroom stop in support of Say Anything and apparently enjoyed themselves so much that they’ll be venturing back to the Garden State for a tour stop at Asbury Lanes on October 8th with Citizen…and you can pick up tickets to that event here.

Joining You Blew It! and Citizen will be Detroit punks of the hardcore fashion True Love, who dropped a self-titled EP in April of 2013 that’s five tracks in length and lasts a grand total of 5:36. With songs running both 20 and 38 second, True Love sort of brings to mind that band from Scott Pilgrim vs The World…but not really. I just wanted to include the following video:

Jokes aside, True Love’s debut can be streamed below.

Also playing the support role are Connecticut punks Hostage Calm, who will be unveiling selections of new material on this tour plucked from their forthcoming LP Dies On Stage, which officially drops on September 16th via Run For Cover Records. The outfit recently offered a taste of what’s to come in lead single titled “A Thousand Miles Away”, which couples thick, raspy refrains with rusted chords to create a two-pronged lure of seductive measures.
