Sometimes there’s a true artistic vision behind the making of music video…and sometimes you just need an excuse to pelt your frontman with balloons full of paint. In the case of You Blew It! the latter appears to be the premise.

Florida’s premier purveyors of emotional-rock have followed up its excellent 2014 LP Keep Doing What You Are Doing with a sightly more melancholy short-form collection titled Pioneer Of Nothing, which is out now on 7-inch vinyl via Jade Tree (pick it up here).

One of the standout tracks of this EP is “Your Side” and You Blew It! recently provided this somber and stirring piece a juxtaposing cinematic treatment, as director Jeremy Silveira leads vocalist Tanner Jones through a sun-soaked landscape of pure multi-colored bliss and jubilance…at least for those not being blasted with paint pellets.

Stream the video below and be sure to see it live when You Blew It! roles through Asbury Lanes on Feb. 22nd with Tiny Moving Parts, Sorority Noise, and Rozwell Kids. Doors for the all-ages event open at 6 p.m. Pick up you passes here.
