There’s an endless number of reasons that make a song “catchy”. One of those is guitar riffs that you can feel all the way down to your toes. That’s not just an example, Gamblers’ new single “Do I?” has guitar riffs that you can feel all the way down to your toes.
Like most great riffs, it is simple, repetitious and invigorating. This Beach Boys-esque vibe is completed by the bright drumming, and the production expertise of Michael McManus. McManus has been producing music and creating beats since his college days, which has resulted in collaborations with artists such as Meek Mill and Heems.
From that, he has learned how to develop a sound which Gamblers clearly benefits from. What may seem like innocuous summertime music, is really a coating for the pragmatic lyrics of McManus.
You can listen to and enjoy the music video for their newest single “Do I?” below, as we wait patiently for their debut album “Small World” to come out on September 25th via Symphonic.
